Overview
A hidden traitor game of horror at summer camp. At night a Slasher is killing Campers. Can you discover the Slasher before he kills everyone? The Slasher wins if the group is reduced to just one Camper alive. The Campers win if they expose the Slasher.
Roles
Slasher → Jack (always 1 Slasher).
Campers → Ace through 6.
Each Camper’s card = their secret cabin number (Ace is cabin 1).
Setup
Shuffle the Ace–6 and Jack cards. Deal one face down to each player. (Reduce the Ace-6 cards so that there is one less than total players. Example: 5 total players would need Ace–4 and a Jack card).
Jack = Slasher.
Ace–6 = Camper, with your cabin number.
Each player also receives a stack of red and black action cards.
Red = No / Kill
Black = Yes / Safe
Campers may never reveal their number, unless killed.
Gameplay
1. Mission Phase
A Leader (rotates clockwise) proposes a team to search the woods.
Team size = half the living players (if even) or slightly above half (if odd).
All living players vote using action cards:
Black = Yes (approve)
Red = No (reject)
Majority decides (a tie equals failure). If rejected, leadership passes clockwise.
2. Mission Resolution
Once a team is chosen, each chosen team member secretly submits one card from their stack:
Campers must always play Black (Safe).
The Slasher may play Black (Safe) or Red (Kill).
Shuffle and reveal:
If all Black → Mission succeeds and no one dies.
If one Red appears → Mission fails → the Slasher kills a Camper.
3. Killing a Camper
When a mission fails, roll a single die (1–6).
The result corresponds to a Camper’s hidden cabin number (Ace = 1 … 6 = 6).
That Camper is killed and eliminated, revealing their card.
If the result is already dead, reroll until it matches a living Camper.
The Slasher (Jack) can never be killed by dice.
4. Debate & Elimination
After each mission, players may debate who they think the Slasher is.
A vote is taken:
Each living player has a chance to be voted on starting with the team leader and going clockwise.
If a majority votes to eliminate someone, that player is out and reveals their card (a tie equals failure).
Dead players cannot talk, vote, or engage in debate. Dead don’t talk.
5. Reset Cards
After each mission, all used red/black cards (from votes and mission play) are collected, shuffled, and redistributed evenly to all players.
This ensures every player always has both red and black cards, so it’s never obvious what anyone played.
Victory Conditions
Campers win if the Slasher (Jack) is eliminated.
Slasher wins if only one Camper remains alive.
